Kidgets Diapers and Wipes

We have had at least one child in diapers at our house for over eight years now.  That’s a long time and A LOT of diapers!  We have tried more diapers than I care to remember or think about.  I have gotten over wanting to have the cutesy diapers that I was concerned about back when the oldest ones were tiny.  Really, all I want is a diaper that works really well, and doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg.  Right now we have two still in diapers.  So, our diaper budget is fairly high.  When I heard about the new diaper/wipes in the Kidgets  Line only at the Family Dollar, I wasn’t sure if I would like them.  We have been using the same brand of diapers for years. But I’m usually up for trying something new.  So I headed to the Family Dollar to pick up my package of Kidgets diapers and wipes to try them out.

I headed home to put them on my babies.  The first thing I noticed is how much thinner the Kidgets diapers are. The second thing I noticed was that the tabs are very strong.  My littlest one likes to pull her diaper off, she couldn’t get these tabs open.   Wyatt was very excited that they had letters on them. (he loves letters)

These diapers cost the same as the other brand of diapers we have been using.  While they are thin they work really well.  They don’t get so saggy after having been warn for a while.  Even after wearing them all night they weren’t the soggy, saggy mess.  You know what I’m talking about.  When the poor kiddo can hardly walk because of the saggy yucky diaper hanging down so far.  Or worse yet when they wake up all wet and sad because the diaper leaked.  Well these didn’t do that at all.  In fact Wyatt started asking me to make sure I put the letter diapers on him! (true story) He loved them.

My little guy in his Kidgets diaper (the letter diapers), and yes he need a hair cut.

The wipes were wonderful as well. While the wipes cost a little more than what I normally spend for wipes.  One wipe was usually enough to get the job done.  They never ripped, nor did anything leak through on to my hands.  They smell nice and they didn’t irritate my youngest ones skin.  Which are all very important to us.

The diapers worked better than some of the more expensive diapers I have tried in the past.  They are a wonderful value for families on a tight budget like us. Yes, I think we have been happily changed to a new diaper/wipes brand, until potty training happens.

  2. Ami Allison says:

What a cutie!!! I was always looking for cheaper diapers when Alie was in them. I’ll have to remember these for baby showers or a future baby!! 🙂

  3. Adrianne at Happy Hour Projects says:

It occurred to me the other day that by the time Raya gives up her diapers for good, we are going to have another one to buy them for. It’s going to be like five years straight of buying diapers. LOL. So any way to save money is a good thing! Thanks so much for the review – you like to hear that something works before you try it!!

  4. Finding a diaper that lives up to what it promises can be hard. It sounds like you found a great one! I don’t have any little ones in diapers (YAHOO!!), but will certainly tell my friends about these.

  5. We still have a little guy in diapers and lately we have been planning on potty training, but until that happens I would love to give these a try 😀

  6. Great tip, Kadie!

  7. Never heard of this brand, but will definitely share with it my mommy friends & keep in mind for upcoming baby shower gifts!
