You have all heard of the old woman that lived in a shoe…you remember how it goes, “She had so many children she didn’t know what do”. I feel like that woman some days. More than feeling old (which having a driving teen, and a pre-teen will make anyone feel old) some days I feel like I having 5 kiddos qualifies me as having, so many children I just don’t know what to do with them.
Between my own work, their homework, after school actives, concerts, practices, tutoring, and then everything that goes into keeping up with the house there are days that I throw my hands up in the air and declare WHATEVER WORKS!
The kids want to wear their clothes to bed, sure! Y’all want to watch the 3rd show of Pokémon, great! Wanna go play in the sprinklers? Fantastic!
Please don’t read this the wrong way. I would never in a million years trade being mom! “Mom”, is the only thing I wanted to be when I grew up. I love them and all the craziness, but some days you gotta just let go a little. Luckily on days like this I know I can grab a couple of Red Baron pizzas for dinner and my kiddos will be happy little campers.
P.S. No, there is nothing wrong with my 6 year old daughters face…this is her pretty make up. Heaven help us when she is a teen!
P.P.S. I asked them all to look at me, not one of them is looking at me. They follow directions so well.
I could have my own bomber jacket with patches, like the one above, on it for my motherhood war stories. I’m sure all you moms out there can agree with me when I say some days it feels like we’ve been through the war. 😉 I love that the Red Barron Pizza has come up with patches for moms and even has the new Baroness wearing a bomber jacket with the patches. Which patch do you relate to most? Maybe it’s the tantrum slayer, or the napkin ninja no matter the one you pick I’m sure you have earned your patch.
I want to hear your parenting stories! (Please let me know I’m not alone.) Head over to twitter and tell me your parenting “war” story. Make sure you use the hashtag #wingmama to be entered into a drawing where 3 readers will win free pizza. You can also follow the Baroness on Twitter and Facebook to keep up with all the fun things they have going on.
