Long Distance Valentine's Hug

This year while I'm kind of going overboard with all the Valentine's Day stuff, I figured I might as well go all the way.

We live a long way from my Mom and Dad.  The kiddos and I miss them all the time.  So we thought it was time to make a special Valentine's for them.

This is very easy.  Get a very long roll of white craft paper or butcher paper.

Then going from the oldest to the youngest have the kids lay down on the paper and stretch out their arms.  Using a pencil or pen trace around each child.  I would suggest using a different colored pen or pencil for each outline.  I didn't do that but I think it would make it much easier to see each "child".

Then trace each of their hands and have the ones that can, write their names in them.  Of course we had to add in the hands of various toys. {it was the only way to get Lotte Lou involved}

The kids had a really good time.  They chose the saying we wrote out in glitter foam letter stickers.

It was so much fun and Mom and Dad really liked their package and long distance hug.

What a clever idea! I love that you put each of their arms on there....almost DiVinci-esque. So cute that you added some of the hands of toys!
