The other day I shared a photo on Instagram of my "eggs in a hole" I was going to eat. I love eggs in a hole! One of my friends said she likes to make hearts out of the bread and they call it "love toast". I thought it was so cute that I wanted to try something similar with the kiddos.
Instead of a heart we used different cookie cutters to cut our bread. Using frozen bread makes cutting with cookie cutter easier. Add some butter to a frying pan over med. heat. Put in your bread, then gently drop your egg in the shape you made, and fry it up. Be careful when you flip it that you don't break the yolk.
I added some fruit in these very cute fun Silicone Cupcake Mold that I got from Whole Port and the kids were in heaven. They thought it was one of the funnest meals they had eaten in a long time.
If you can't make the shapes out it's a star and snowman.
So easy, and a great way to make them feel special. It would be a fun brunch item on Christmas or New Years day. Thanks for the great idea Bonnie!
Hope you have a great weekend with lots of family time. Merry Christmas!
