Seventh Generation Clean House Challenge & Giveaway

I’m pretty sure that no one else in the world gets as excited about cleaning supplies as I do.  But let me tell you I’m so happy with the 7th Generation Cleaning supplies I have been dancing around my cleaner home all week!

Why am I so excited, you ask.  Well, if you are a long time reader of my blog you may know that I like to make some of my own cleaning supplies, especially laundry soap.  There are a few reasons why I feel it is better.  One, of course is the money, it’s hard to find cleaning supplies cheaper than I can make them.  Second,  I like knowing what is in my home. I like to know what fumes my kids are breathing in and what chemicals they have on their skin.  So, when I say I was excited to try out chemical free products,  I mean I was REEEALLY excited.  If you would like to learn more about green cleaning, you can go to Real Simple and take the Clean House Challenge.

I was sent Seventh Generations newest cleaning line to try out it is chemical, and fum free. For those of you looking to reduce your carbon foot print, all the bottles  are made from 100 recycled materials  {LOVE THAT}.

So what was I sent?  I received a bottle of each Wood Cleaner, Rock and Granite Cleaner, Dish soap, hand soap, and a package of 30 packets laundry soap.

The wood cleaner, granite cleaner, and a stainless steal cleaner is the newest line of USDA Certified Biobased Products, all made from non-toxic, biodegradable formulas.  Seventh Generation is the nation’s leading brand of household and personal care products that help protect human health and the environment.  Established in 1988, the Burlington, Vermont based company remains an independent, privately-held company distributing products to natural food stores, supermarkets, mass merchants, and online retailers across the United States and Canada.

I absolutely love the wood cleaner it works so well and smells much better than the vinegar/water mixture I usually use. {My husband completely agrees with the above statement}

  The free and clear laundry cleaner  which has no scents added, can be used in hot or cold water, works in top and front load washers,  and comes in these handy little packets.  There is no way using the laundry soap could be easier.  And as I’m sure you would agree convenience counts for A LOT.  { $9.99 for 30 packets, or $14.99 for 50}

The dish soap works fantastically, cuts though the grease easy peasy.

My absolute favorite thing I got to try??  The hand soap, I am in LOVE with this soap. {4.99 for a 12oz bottle}  Not only does it smell great, (I used the Mandarin soap) but it doesn’t dry my skin like other soaps.  I have very sensitive skin, and often have reactions to soaps.  Because, I liked it so much on my hands I started using it on my face.  It worked better than the expensive facial cleaners I have been using.  (this is just my experience, seventh generation doesn’t market or promote it’s hand soap as facial soap)

So in the end if you were to ask me which one I like better, homemade cleaners or Seventh Generation cleaners?  In all honestly (and I’m kicking myself for saying this)  the Seventh Generation cleaners win!  They are great cleaners that are environmentally friendly, convenient, and heath conscientious. Really, you can’t ask for much more than that in a cleaning product.  That’s why I’m so excited that Seventh Generation is offering one of you lovely readers the same cleaning package I received.  You are going to LOVE these products!
