Professor Owl-lex the Crocheted Owl

HAPPY MONDAY MORNING!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  We had a pretty fun weekend with lots of fall weather and family time.

I started decorating for the fall months too.  I LOVE fall in the south.  For us it's, a time to be outside, and enjoy all the sports it's been to hot to play durning the summer.

Fall always makes me want to pick up my hooks and start crocheting.  So I have been crocheting a lot over the last couple of weeks.  I think one of my favorite things I have crocheted to date is my new owl.

Meet Professor Owl-lex.  I love him.

He's a pretty happy guy.  He loves to watch movies with the family.
Play outside in the sun.

And just kick it.

All the kids love him but, to be honest, I think he's mine.  I don't plan on giving him to anyone.  I'll make some more but the Professor is MINE.

Doesn't he have the cutest little face!

He decided to make his nest in my fall wreath for now.

I used the Nelson the Owl Pattern from Fresh Stitches.  There are even kits that come with all the yarn, eyes and the pattern.  And if you are really new to crocheting you can get the beginner kit it has all the yarn, eyes, and a pattern, but also has a hook, stitch markers, and tips and tricks for crocheting an amigurumi {crocheted stuffed animal}.  Stacey {the owner of Fresh Stitches} doesn't know me from Eve,  but I adore her patterns.  In my not so humble opinion they are the best amigurumi patterns you can find.

So what about you?  Have you been crocheting anything?  How is your fall decorating going?

Hey! I thought that was a FreshStitches pattern! I talked to Stacey via email awhile back (blog question), and she is the sweetest! It looks like you did a great job on the pattern - I haven't made that one yet, though I do have a book of hers.
