Button and Flower Bracelets

You all know how I have a slight addiction to cabochon flowers. You can read about that here, and here.  I also seem to be in love with buttons. I have way more than I will ever need.  So when I saw this project from Adrianne at Happy Hour Projects the first thing that came to mind was buttons, and then cabochon flowers.

I made my own bracelets and love how they turned out.

The buttons are from Pick Your Plum and the flowers are from Mindy Mae's Market.  I used bakers twine for the purple and white band and embroidery thread for the black one.

For the embroidery thread I took three 18 inch long pieces of thread and put them though a hole in the button.  Then double them over,  make a knot and braid like normal.
Because the bakers twine is so much thicker I used only one piece of twine. Put the twine though the button hole, then unwind the twine into three pieces of twine. (two white ones and one purple)  Braid like normal. (of course repeat for the second hole in the button)
For a more detailed tutorial you can check out Adrianne's here.

Then just add a little E6000 glue to the cabochon flower and after about 3 hours drying time you are done.
My oldest daughter claimed the purple and pink one for herself, now she thinks she needs a necklace to go with it.
I knew there was a reason I bought so many flowers and buttons.

Thanks for stoppin' by and hangin' out.

I will be linking up to these fantastic parties.

I love these, Kadie. Funny how we can all come up with such creative differences to a basic idea, I think that is my favorite part about blogging. I never would have thought of this!
