Washi Window

I have wanted to do something to the window in the door that everyone uses the most in our house.  Which is in fact our back door.   It has a small rectangular window that is at perfect eye level for any and everyone to look through when they are standing on the steps.  I even looked into some small vertical blinds to try to put over that little window.  But Holy Moly those things cost a lot!
So, the other day when I saw this post on how to washi tape your window, I knew the perfect place to use it.

I picked out some of my favorite washi tape, it's yellow with clear dots on it, and started washi-ing my window.

Yes, it is a huge pain to try to take photos of a window in the middle of the afternoon. Thank you for asking.  I know the photos aren't the greatest but I'm sure you get the idea.

Trim off the edges and you have a perfect security screen on your window.  It still lets in light but no one can see through it.

So much better!  The roll of washi tape I used cost $2 and I have about half the roll left.  Turned out pretty good for $1 and I can change it when ever I want. YAY for washi tape!

Thanks for stoppin' by and hangin' out.

I will be linking up to these fantastic parties.

Great idea! I love that it's yellow and still lets in some light!

So clever. This turned out so great and for $1 - woohoo. I love the yellow too - so summery and cheery and as Danni said, still lets in the light.

Is the tape still up? Did it damage the window in any way?
