I just wanted to say a
Happy Mother's Day
to all you wonderful mothers out there.
This is one of my favorite poems about mothers. The title is The Reading Mother.
My favorite stanza of the poem is the last one that says:
Because really it's the little things we do for our children that they will remember. Those little things are what have the most effect.
I am lucky to have a mother that read to us all the time as children. I have developed a great appreciation for reading, something I have been able to pass down to my own children. Sadly I live pretty far away from my mom, I miss her more than I can say.
Here are a few printables of the last stanza of the poem.
Hope you all have a wonderful day with your family's.

Well darn. If I had seen this earlier, I TOTALLY would have stolen it for my Mother's Day post. :o) Great poem. I had never read it before.
Happy Mother's Day Kadie!
I've never seen this poem either but I love it. Great idea. Hope you have a fabulous Mother's Day, Kadie. :)
Aww, Kadie, this is really sweet! I have bought my daughter two full shelves worth of books... and you know what? She brings them to Daddy to read to her. Stinker. :)
You are right though - the little things are the most important. Getting pushed on the swings, getting read to, favorite songs... okay, I'm quitting now before I get all teary. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
I miss you too SWEETIE. Love u Mom
