Yes, it's true I have jumped on the Washi Tape band wagon. If you don't know what washi tape is, then you may have been living under a rock for several months. Washi tape is a Japanese paper tape similar to masking tape but it is stronger (you can stick and re-stick it several times) and doesn't leave a residue. Also it is SO cute. I mean just look at it. I know you're all drooling.I have also been playing with the new PicMonkey and having just a little to much fun.
Okay, on to the super simple and oh so cute tutorial.
I first saw washi tape bunting here on Attic 24 a very long time ago. It has been stuck in my head since. I looked on line at buying some washi tape but never wanted to spend the money and shipping for it. Then it showed up at Target and I was off (like a dress on prom night) to buy some. All of the tape I used was bought at Target. You can find it in the office supply section in a little stack. It only costs $4 for a package of 4. (the tape with wording on it was found the the scrapbooking section and was $2 for one roll) Not bad!
Here is how you can make your own Washi Tape Bunting.
It's really hard so pay very close attention.
Step one: Cut a length of tape. I used around 2 inch strips. (I just eyed balled it)
Step two: Place twine or thread in the middle of the tape.
Step Three: Fold over tape. Press together.
Step Four: Stop and watch the baby build a tower with the tape rolls. They are very good for that too.
Step Five: Trim it.
Step six: Repeat.
Yep that's it. You can hang them anywhere. A bookcase, a picture frame, a wreath. around candles, really the list goes on and on. I put mine on my flower jug. I just taped it on with more washi tape. We made some paper flower to go in the jug for the times I can't get fresh flowers.
The bunting and flowers make me happy. Hope you are having a great day and start to your week.
Thanks for stoppin' by and hangin' out.
