Crocheted Baby Poncho

The other night I found myself alone with 2 hours to kill.  WHAT?! ALONE?! That never happens. (While I waited for my oldest to get done with scouts.)  I wasn't planning on staying out that long so I didn't bring anything with me to work on.  {GASP}
We had headed to Wal-Mart for some snacks and while I was there I picked up this little pattern book.  It was less than five dollars at my store, and has the cutest baby poncho pattern in it.

 I got started on it that night,  I was about half way done when scouts got over.  Another couple of hours and I was finished.  I LOVE the way it turned out.  Little Lotte looks so cute in it!  However she is at the age that sitting still for more than one minute is impossible.
So instead of the cute photo shoot I had in mind. We get the funny trying to get off the chair photo, and going up the ladder photo.

{That sad, raggedy teddy goes with her everywhere.}

So you can get a better idea of what the poncho looks like here it is hanging up.

I used 100% cotton yarn in bright aqua and white. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed making this poncho.  The pattern is an intermediate skill level (that is just because you are working with a V shape), once the V shape started, it came together very quickly.  I would love to make another one, but I don't have anyone else that it will fit. {SAD}
I guess that means it's time to open a shop or something and start selling them. ha,ha.
Have you been working on anything lately that you were surprised by how much you enjoyed?

Thanks for stoppin' by and hangin' out.

I will be linking up to these fantastic parties.
