Piano Keys Table Runner

Do you remember the table runner Britt from Third Times a Charm made a couple of weeks ago?  I loved hers so much that I had to make me a similar table runner.  I haven't taken the class on curves that she has so I couldn't make it the same as she did.  But what I really loved about it was all the colors.  I have been kind of obsessed with yellow and orange lately.  Really anything colorful that says spring to me.  I didn't want to spend any money so I went shopping in my fabric stash.

Here's what I came up with.

The Piano Keys Table Runner.

And the back. I love a scrappy back!

I love the way it turned out.  It took me longer than I thought it would.  It's okay though because it is so pretty, colorful and happy.

I don't usually leave anything on my table when we are not using it.  Things always seem to get broken or pulled off the table. I am trying to beautify my kitchen so I thought something would look nice.   My MIL had gave me an aluminum pitcher years ago.  I never knew what to do with it.  Until now.

 I spray painted it yellow.

Then I strung a salt dough Christmas ornament from Sweet Anne Designs (I won them in the Christmas ornament giveaway at One Artsy Mama).  And tied it on.  Isn't it beautiful.

Then I splashed out and bought myself some flowers.

When you put it all together it turned my dinning area, in my kitchen, into quite a happy place.

The flowers have been tipped out once......., lots of water to clean up.  But it was worth it for the amount of pure joy this little area of my kitchen gives me now.  Sitting here, crocheting or reading is wonderful.

Thanks for stoppin' by and hangin' out.

I will be linking up to the parties on my Party page. And the ones here.

Looks fabulous, Kadie!!! Love the bright colours, the diagonal quilting and the new pitcher. It goes so well with the mirror and Love One Another.

Love it all! The runner, the pitcher, the flowers (love you got them for yourself)and love that you have your aprons hanging. That has been on my list for too long, I just need to get some cute hooks/knobs and get them up. I think it's such a great way to add color and cuteness to a kitchen....and I need to make a new table runner badly. Thanks for the inspiration. Jeni

Oh wow, this turned out amazing. I can't believe you just sat down and whipped out that table runner. You need to start having classes. :) Love the yellow pitcher with the salt dough ornament. Nice!

Hi Kadie....I love everything. I bought a similar pitcher just the other day from Goodwill. I'd like to spray paint it white, but I'm hesitant since spray paint and I don't always get along;). Yours turned out beautifully:)

Talk soon,
Jenny
