The kiddos helped me make these.
First we have the button wreaths.
This is a great project for the older kiddos. Oak helped me for a while but got tired so I finished for him. He is 4 and did well with some help.
I bought two packages of 130 count buttons from Wal-Mart. They cost less than $2.00 per package. The package came with three different sizes and three colors. The kids picked out the pattern they wanted to use and strung them on 20 gauge wire. We used most of the two packages. I used some scrap fabric and ribbon to hang them.
Next we made salt dough ornaments. I have to say the dough was easier to make than I thought it would be. However making the ornaments was not. I see some amazing salt dough ornaments and I don't know how they make them look like they do. However because we did an impression of each kiddos hands I love them. I let each of kids paint and decorate their hand ornament they way they wanted. I love that I have a piece of each of them. I will forever remember the age they are now and what they liked from these ornaments.
It was a lot of fun to make them together. Wouldn't it be fun to do them every year and see how big the hands get and how the decorating would change.
Thanks for stoppin' by and hangin' out.

I will be linking up the the parties on my party page. And to these lovely parties as well.

You're a wonderful mom. I love Lotte's concerned expression in the photo. jeni
I love the idea of having the kids do the ornaments each year so you could see how they grow. Of course, that would also be sad too, huh, lol. Love the wreaths - they turned out great.
