Do you all remember the Cake Mix Cookies? I shared them with you in the beginning days of the blog almost a year ago. Can you believe the blog has been going almost a year?
Anywho, I love these cookies they are so fast and easy. You can switch them up and make them different every time you make them. Most likely you have all the ingredients on hand. This is how I like to make them festive for the holidays.
The ingredients:
- One boxed cake mix (today we are using a white cake mix)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup oil
You will also need a cookie pan with a Sil-Pat or parchment paper and colored sugar.
Next you are going to roll your dough into balls about the size of a walnut. You can enlist some small hands to help you.
Next you dip the top of your dough ball into the colored sugar.
They take their cookie making very seriously.
Place cookie balls dipped in colored sugar on the pan/silpat.
Cook in a 350 degree oven for 9-13 minuets. Take them out of the oven. Leave them on the pan and while they are still hot press a Kiss into the middle of each cookie. Of course parents should do this as the pan and cookies are very hot.
These were made with the candy cane kisses.
And these were made with regular milk chocolate kisses. These tend to hold their shape a little better.
Let them cool on the pan. When the chocolate is cool it will hold its shape.
Now it is time to eat!
One,
or two at a time.
Yummy, easy, and perfect for a goodie plate. Or that last minute Christmas Party your kiddos/husband forgot to tell you about.
You can always leave the chocolate off (I don't know why) and they are still yummy. To see what we did with chocolate cake mix you can go here.
Thanks for stopping by and hangin' out.

I will be linking up to the parties on my party page. Please check them out if you get the chance.
