The One Hundredth day of school has already come and gone for this school year, but I didn’t get a chance to show the shirts I made for my kiddos. It’s been so crazy around here that I honestly for to share them. To be 100% honest I almost forgot to make the shirts in the first place. I’m sure there are plenty of you who have had to stay up till midnight making a project for your kids school. I’m really glad I have my Cricut and a good stock of iron on vinyl, or I would have had some really sad kids instead of awesome 100th day of school shirts.
Because I have a lot kids I made three shirts. Thankfully my older kids don’t do anything for 100th day of school.
For my youngest I made a shirt with flocked iron on vinyl and gold glitter iron on vinyl, her shirt says I love school with 100 red hearts. She loves her shirt and wears it all the time.
My youngest son loves everything to do with space and wanted a shirt that had a rocket on it. So his shirt says 100 out of this world days of school and has a rocket and stars and planets.
For my almost 10 year old, who is almost too old and cool for such things, we made a cool Flash shirt with a saying on the back.
The back says “100 Days Gone in a FLASH”. He thought is was very cool and was the only one in his class that dressed up….lesson learned 3rd grade is too old for 100 days of school shirts.
I don’t have a full tutorial for these shirts, I am just trying to give you ideas for the next year. I also have the cut files to share with you if you are wanting to use your Cricut to make your shirts. (I would highly recommend using your Cricut, it takes way too long to 100 of anything out by hand!)
Items used are ~
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Cricut Design Space
- Glitter Iron-On Vinyl in Gold and blue
- Foil Iron-on Vinyl in Peweter
- Iron-on Vinyl in Black
You can find the Design Space file for the “I love School” shirt here and here , you will need Cricut Design Space access or you will need to pay a small fee for the image and font used for the shirt.
You can find the Design Space file for the wording “100 Days Gone in a FLASH” here. The Flash image needs to be purchased from another site as it is a licensed image.
You can make all of these shirts in one long evening. Or break it up over a couple days.
The kids sure do seem to be happy with them.
